Caricaturist Scotland

This is Scotland's best known
cartoonist and caricaturist.

His popular style of work has entertained millions of readers and viewers for over 30 years.
After leaving the Commercial Art world in 1965, he illustrated comics and magazines for D.C. Thomson in Dundee then became a Graphic Artist and Designer with Scottish Television for 3 years. In 1975, along with pal and fellow banjo player from the Scottish Folk Music scene, Billy Connolly, he devised and wrote the hugely successful cartoon strip, The Big Yin for the Sunday Mail. At the same time he was a member of an outrageous 5-piece skiffle band, The Vindscreen Vipers playing gigs in Scotland, abroad and on television.
Since then he has contributed to most Scottish and UK national newspapers including The Sun, Daily Record, Daily Express, Sunday Times, Sunday Telegraph, Kilmarnock Standard and New Statesman.
His work has illustrated several major national advertising campaigns.
His caricature skill has seen him invited to corporate events in Jamaica, Canada, Croatia, Germany, Romania, Kuwait, India and Russia. For ten years he was resident cartoonist on ITV's networked quiz show, Win Lose or Draw.
