Hire Mike for your event and you’re guaranteed a riot of fun & laughter as he expertly captures your guests’ features onto paper. A professional caricaturist since 2002, this self-taught artist’s work is grounded first and foremost in likeness. Individuality is foremost, and you will NOT just get the same face drawn time and time again. Mike
has found that his style is best suited to working from a stationary
position, drawing guests from a simple laptop drawing board. This setup
allows him to work continuously, meaning his time (and your money) is
utilised in the most effective way possible. It also enables guests to
watch & enjoy each drawing as it unfolds, something which isn’t always
possible with roaming caricatures. All that’s required from you are 3
chairs (one for the artist, two for guests), positioned in a well lit,
sheltered spot. Singles, couples, or groups of up to 4 can be drawn on one
sheet if requested, with A professional member of international organisation The National Caricaturist Network, Mike attends their annual convention in the USA and has won major awards at all three of his attendances so far - 1st Place for Best Party Caricatures in 2005, and 1st Place for Best Likenesses in both 2006 and 2007. In addition to this he ranked 6th in 2007's 'Caricaturist of the Year' category, a highly prestigious honour. Mike has also scooped top accolades amongst his peers in the UK caricaturist community, has appeared at the Everton FC Player of the Year Awards and as a guest on TV's 'The Paul O' Grady Show'. In addition to live event work Mike is available for character design and gift caricatures from photographs, either hand-drawn and digital. |

shaded caricatures taking around 5 minutes per
person and colour a minute or so longer. All caricatures are drawn to A3
size using black marker & non-smudge pencil media, with most guests
choosing to roll the artwork for the journey home. Rubber bands are
provided for this purpose.
