Luke Warm (aka Mark) has been working as a cartoonist since 1990 when his Fence Sittin' strip ran weekly for 2 years in Mmegi newspaper in Botswana. Since then he's been published by most national broadsheets in the UK and Ireland, syndicated by the Press Association, worked in animation, drawn thousands of caricatures, lectured at the Open University and written and illustrated his own children's picture book - published by Macmillan in 2000.

On-the-spot

As well as being great ice breakers, caricatures become treasured personal momentos of an event and are often framed.

Single on-the-spot caricatures take about 5-6 minutes on 160gsm A4 card and are presented in an envelope, while double caricatures on A3 card take about twice as long. 25-30 people can be drawn in a typical performance of 21/2 - 3 hours.

Luke normally wears a dinner suit, arrives 15 minutes early and allows a 15 minute over-run within the agreed fee. He's happy to travel and has public liability cover.
